About the Artist:
Scott J. Shaughnessy

Height: 5-10  Weight: 1
91 lbs  Born: May 31, 1978 Stockton, CA  Age: 29  College: California State University,
Chico

After spending five of my best years in college, I graduated from California State University, Chico.  I earned a
degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing.  Although business minded my passion has
always been art.

Art was an attraction to me ever since I can remember.  I started at around age 3 and two years later it was art
lessons at Aldrich School of Art in Stockton, California.  Since then, countless hours drawing and painting have
been spent to continually shape my style.  Along the way, I was presented with several awards at the Haggin
Museum also in Stockton.

Various trips to Europe were spent visiting museums and studying works by Da Vinci, Van Gogh and Monet.
Although I have incorporated some of the techniques of these artists but never let their influence overwhelm me.

Over the course of my artistic career, I have experimented with a variety of art mediums.  My preference is oil on
canvas because of the endless variety of color and textures. However, I have been involved in numerous mural
painting projects.

I have works of art in Paris, Los Angeles, Sacramento San Francisco, Chico, and San Diego.
